The Tower of London is a historic monument in central London, on the north bank of the River Thames. The tower’s primary function was as a fortress, a royal palace and a prison. In recent years in has become one of Britain’s biggest tourist attractions.The flagpole at the Tower of London needed to be assessed using aiding techniques to carry out a conditional survey of the structure and renew the running gear for raising and lowering of the flag. The flagpole was also stripped and repainted.
